Twelve-ish Days

I had a party. It was fantastic. I saw soooo many people that I am going to miss dearly. If you came, THANK YOU. If I didn't talk to you very much, I'm really really sorry. If I got a picture with you, you better believe that it will be hanging in my room this year. I would like to thank Martin for always letting me use his house for parties, especially this one. If I had the chance to sit down and talk to you, I'm so happy that I got to see you before I leave. Soooooooo here are some pictures. You are all fantastic.

2019 Christmassy UK Visit

I made my trip to the UK in November, but it wasn’t quite what I planned it to be back in July. It ended up being a very chill trip spent with a ridiculous amount of cups of tea in bed with some of the people I love most. I was really lucky I didn’t get delayed like last time, but I did manage to book myself a 5 and a half hour layover at JFK on the way there (what an amateur, amiright?), so that was super long. But I made it there in once piece on Wednesday and met up with Lucy to have a Nando’s and work our way out of central London and out to Surrey. We arrived at her house where I was greeted with many a birthday decoration, a pile of presents, and a cupcake. Whirlwind London Visits and Back to Scotland

I FINALLY made it to the UK. The flight situation was an absolute nightmare. We were delayed 20 hours first due to a mechanical issue, then due to the fact that we no longer had a pilot who could fly for that long. It was stressful. I cried a number of times and had to be picked up and taken back home for another night. We finally got out of Salt Lake and the flight seemed to be okay, but then we learned that not all the entertainment systems worked. Because my screen didn't work the half of the flight, I didn't even have a reading light which was terrible. They got it working finally, but the whole flight situation was an absolute nightmare. I arrived in London where they have a new border system for certain passports. I just had to scan my passport and stand in front of a camera, which was super weird. I got through in record time, no passport stamp (which made me a bit sad) and headed into London to meet Lucy! We had breakfast, hung out at King's Cross, and met a lad...

New York!

I got to go to New York for the second time a couple weeks ago to visit Andrew & Ann, but this time I had more than 12 hours to explore! I took a redeye, which is always rough, and opted for a cab so I could take a nap on the hour drive into the city instead of getting caught in rush hour on the subway. When I arrived, I couldn’t check into my AirBnB for a few hours, so I dumped my stuff at Andrew and Ann’s and Ann and I headed out to breakfast! We went to a diner down the street and it was really good. They supplied way more different kinds of beverages than necessary at one meal for me, but it was delicious. After breakfast, we headed back to take their dog, Laina, out for a walk through Central Park! Laina is a super adorable dog, she’s a bit scared of everything, and she really wasn’t sure about me.
