I'm Spoiled.

This last Thursday was Thanksgiving. This year, I am living in a country that does not have this holiday. But having an American as the Dean of Students here at the University of Plymouth, a dinner was put together and I was lucky enough to receive an invitation. When I first received this invitation, I was determined not to go. My mom didn't push it much, my dad yelled, and Derek talked me into going. So I went. It was pretty good. I made friend with a guy from Germany who is a Hall Coordinator for one of the other university accommodation halls on campus. I only met one other American student, but I did get to meet the American part of Plymouth's professional basketball team (The Raiders if you were wondering). I sat at a table with an American lecturer, some British people, and then others from around the world. Twenty-One Years of Age.

It has been almost a month. Oops. What has happened in the last 23 days? Well, It was Halloween, then Bonfire Night, and then my birthday. Other than that I am pretty sure that nothing has happened. So let's start with the first thing shall we? I didn't do anything special for Halloween. I got Nando's, laid in bed, and watched Sweeney Todd and Nightmare Before Christmas. I thought it was a pretty good way to spend the night. Bonfire Night was on November 5. It is a celebration of the anniversary of stopping Guy Fawkes from blowing up Parliament. I think. That could be wrong. But that was what was explained to me. Anyway, there was a big bonfire, carnival rides, fireworks, and food. The Fireworks were great, they were timed with music. The opening song was Raining Men, so that was awesome. THEN. THEN the finale was a mashup of a bunch of Les Mis songs. IT WAS FANTASTIC.
