Twenty-One Years of Age.
It has been almost a month. Oops. What has happened in the last 23 days? Well, It was Halloween, then Bonfire Night, and then my birthday. Other than that I am pretty sure that nothing has happened. So let's start with the first thing shall we?
I didn't do anything special for Halloween. I got Nando's, laid in bed, and watched Sweeney Todd and Nightmare Before Christmas. I thought it was a pretty good way to spend the night. Bonfire Night was on November 5. It is a celebration of the anniversary of stopping Guy Fawkes from blowing up Parliament. I think. That could be wrong. But that was what was explained to me. Anyway, there was a big bonfire, carnival rides, fireworks, and food. The Fireworks were great, they were timed with music. The opening song was Raining Men, so that was awesome. THEN. THEN the finale was a mashup of a bunch of Les Mis songs. IT WAS FANTASTIC. It was raining during fireworks though, so that was a new experience. After Bonfire Night, nothing has really happened. I go to school, I come home, I watch movies, I make crappy food, and start again. I know I need to go out and do things, but it is so cold and rainy and windy that I don't want to even try to go outside. The most interesting thing that has happened in the couple weeks between Bonfire Night and my Birthday was when I was walking to school one morning, nothing special was happening, I wasn't doing anything but walking, not even looking at my phone, didn't have my headphones in, nothing. There was a lady walking toward me which, ya know, that's pretty normal and we were just going to walk past each other, but as she started getting closer to me she started muttering to herself and when she was like even with me, her arm flew out and she made a motion to like jab me in the face. It was the weirdest and one of the scariest things I have ever experience. Like. What. So yea. That threw me off for the rest of the day. OH! I also booked a ticket to come home for a week in April. So that made me feel a lot better about staying here until the end of June.
A week later, I turned 21. I didn't do much for my birthday. I had school from 9-3 and then I went home for a bit, and went out to dinner with some of my flatmates. We went to a restaurant across the street. Since it was a Monday, the food was 50% off and cocktails and drinks were 2-for-1, so we didn't have to spend too much money, which was awesome. I had a Strawberry Daiquiri (and I got ID'd!), which was really really strong, lasagna, five layer chocolate cake, and since we had an odd number of people, we shared a chocolate sundae. It was really good. So after dinner, we headed back to the flat and watched Hunger Games to prepare ourselves for Catching Fire, which came out today. I think we are going to go see it this weekend. Or I want to see it this weekend. I talked to one of the girls about going but I have no idea if that will actually go through.
I just want to take a moment and thank everyone for wishing me a Happy Birthday. It means a lot. Thanks to my mom, the Grandmas, Martin, the Riveras, and Derek for sending me things for my birthday. I love and miss you guys so much. I've been having a little bit of a rough time the past couple weeks because I really miss home. I like Plymouth but it is hard when I only know about 9 people and I have only found one person that likes the doing the same things as me. I think I am going to start actually getting ready for the days now because it makes me feel better. I've started buying a lot of books, which is good and bad at the same time. Okay. I am going to go read or play Sims or something. Sorry if this isn't as interesting as other entries, I'm going to try to do a once a week thing. I WILL BE HOME IN 25 DAYS!!! Okay. Anyway. I love you guys! Here are some pictures of people and my birthday dinner, a picture from Paris that my dad had, a pirate ship puzzle, and cats.
