I'M ON MY WAY HOME!!!

Well hello there everyone! I am currently in London in the smallest hotel ever. But we'll get back to that later. I failed at writing once a week. Sorry about that. So. Last week was uneventful. I changed my flight to get home Sunday night instead of Monday morning. I cut out A TON of snowflakes with my flatmate Lucy. Tom Daley came out as bi. I haven't eaten Pringles in almost two weeks. I thought I was getting sick, but turns out my immune system CAN fight things off. I bought several Christmas jumpers. I started packing. I started watching The Office again. Took two tests.
This week was a little more eventful. I took two accounting tests (that didn't go so well). I went on a walk around Plymouth with Lucy. We walked for two hours and explored a part of Plymouth that neither of us had been to. We actually found a beach that had proper sand and I even found a sea shell. I figured out that I bought so much for my family that I had to bring my giant suitcase... I watched a lot of The Office. On Wednesday we had our Flat 87 Chrisgiving dinner (Christmas/Thanksgiving). We had chicken, potatoes, parsnips, carrots, peas, cabbage, yorkshire pudding, brussels sprouts, British stuffing, British pigs in blankets and pumpkin pie. I SUCCESSFULLY MADE THE PUMPKIN PIE!! My flatmates had never had it before and it was pretty good. :) We also had our secret santa that night too. I got an awesome Harry Potter poster and some wintery nail polish. :) In my last lectures, hardly anyone showed up. In one lecture there were 8 of us and we were all forced to sit on the front row. I got stuck next to the annoying guy that has to answer every question and comment on everything. It took everything I had not to stab him with my pen. In my next lecture, there were only two of us. It was really really awkward because she could either look at me or the other kid, so there was a lot of eye contact. In my last digital lab on Friday, I was the only one that showed up. Since it was French, I really didn't mind. I sat and talked to my professor for the hour. I signed up to go to Nice with the French Department in March, let's hope that I get selected to go. :) I REALLY cleaned my room and bathroom so I could come back to a clean environment. I finished packing, watched movies, said goodbye to some of my flatmates and went to sleep.
TODAY. Today has been a wild and crazy day. I woke up at 730, fixed my hair, put on my makeup, ate pumpkin pie, threw out my old food, made my bed and finished packing. One of my flatmates woke up so she could say goodbye to me before I left. So she walked down with me to go catch my cab. When I got to the train station I had to get to another platform. There was a lift but I told myself that I could do the stairs. So I did it. It was the worst idea ever. My suitcase is big enough for me to get into and it is ridiculously heavy (I'm definitely going to be paying an overweight fee tomorrow). Luckily, I found the train guys that were putting suitcases on carts to pick up in London, so that was one less thing to worry about. I was asked to trade seats twice and then moved two more times to accommodate others, I couldn't get myself to read on the train, so I did a lot of sitting and staring. When I finally got to London, I basically walked right past my hotel and had to turn around, I thought I was in the wrong place completely. Luckily that was not the case. I found it and was lucky enough to have the front desk guy offer to carry my bag up to my room. I am on the top floor and there is no way that I could have gotten that up here by myself. We'll see how getting it down tomorrow goes... So I dropped off my stuff in the smallest hotel room to ever exist, used the bathroom that I have to share with the other guests, and headed out on the town. First I had to go to a souvenir shop by Buckingham Palace (they put a Christmas tree outside of Buckingham Palace) to find some special One Direction gel pens for McKenna, that took a long time. Then I headed to Covent Garden (which had fairy lights hanging everywhere, it was awesome. The Brits are much better at decorating than we are) to go have a look in Jack Wills. I was planning on buying another Christmas jumper there just so I had one that doesn't look as ridiculous as the ones I bought from Primark, but I refuse to pay £98.50 for one. No way. So I left and went to eat dinner. I got to Steak & Co (which is a really cool steak place that we found when I was in London in September with my dad and sister) was seated and then left without a menu for 10 minutes. Finally one of the servers came over and asked if I was doing okay. When I told him that I had never been given a menu and he offered me a free coke. I ordered a Christmas Chocolate Orange cocktail and a sirloin steak that you cook yourself on a hot stone. When I got it, it was very very smokey, so smokey that I was getting dirty looks from the customers sitting around me. When I finished I asked for the check and then after about 10 minutes they realized that they had forgotten about me AGAIN. When they finally got me the check and took my money, they didn't actually bring me back coins like I'd asked and I didn't want to give them a £5 tip, so I just didn't tip. Then I was going to head back to the hotel but decided to go walk through Leicester Square. NOT a good idea. There are carnival rides and millions of people. I went into the M&M store and couldn't even look at anything because it was so crowded. So I hopped back on the tube and thought to myself, "Why don't I just stop off at Harrods because it's on the way?" This was also a terrible idea. They had closed the Knightsbridge Underground station to everyone that wanted to leave from there, but you could get off there. So it was completely packed trying to get out of the tube and getting to Harrods was an absolute nightmare. It was so crowded and hot, but I did buy a couple things from Christmas World, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.
I finally got back to the hotel and decided to call my parents. I talked to my mom while I repacked my suitcase and tried to move around my tiny room (this room is about the width of two twin beds and barely longer than a twin, it has shelves and a sink. If the suitcase isn't on the bed, it's blocking the door. This is the smallest room ever). I had to take out the other backpack a brought and put all my books in it to carry on to try to lighten the suitcase a bit (the guys that were moving it on and off the train were complaining that it was really heavy, so I figured I should try to make it a little lighter). I talked to my daddy, saw three of my kitties, and saw Sandra and McKenna briefly. Then I started writing this and watched Easy A. I finished that entire movie while writing this. Rambling on and on takes a lot of time apparently. So now I am going to go visit the communal bathroom and go to sleep. I get breakfast at 730 tomorrow and then I am going to get myself to the airport. I'LL BE HOME TOMORROW!!! FINALLY. Who know that I could be this excited to go back to Bountiful? I was actually pretty sad to leave Plymouth though. Tomorrow, Derek is picking me up from the airport, my mom is making dinner, and I get to see ALL FIVE OF MY CATS. OH MY GOD YES. Okay. I am really going now. Enjoy the pictures from the last two weeks. I love you all and I hope to see you all soon!!!! :)
